Unless you live under a rock, you should know by now that Whitney Houston has passed. Her invitation-only funeral will be shown live on the Internet tomorrow so fans across the globe can have the “opportunity” to pay their respects.
Houston will be laid to rest at the New Jersey church she sang at as a child. Her godmother, Aretha Franklin, has been asked to sing at the funeral. Other celebrities will also be there such as her former co-star Kevin Costner, Oprah Winfrey, Beyonce Knowles and Stevie Wonder to name a few.
I personally find it strange that the funeral will be made public. I feel like this is a family and friend ordeal that should have been kept private. I think showing her funeral and having millions of viewers will just open the door for critics, bloggers and reporters to have another story and possibly create negative buzz around something that should be sacred.
What do you think? Will you be tuning in at noon?
